A powerful nor’easter turned Ocean City into a waterlogged ghost town this weekend, bringing strong winds, coastal flooding and dangerous surf that closed roads, canceled events and left parts of the resort town underwater. Water levels continued rising Sunday as the storm battered the coast, but conditions are expected to improve Monday.

The storm upended one of Ocean City’s biggest weekends. Oceans Calling was canceled, parts of the festival setup floated across the bay, and some performers brought their music to packed local bars instead.
